Clean sterling silver and gold vermeil regularly with a soft polishing cloth to remove light tarnishing. For heavy tarnishing, use a commercial jewelry cleaning solution which can be found in many hardware stores. Follow the manufacturer's instructions very carefully. Do not use cleaning solutions, polishes and/or tarnish removers on pearls, gemstones, resins or silver jewelry with oxidized finishes. Copper Jewelry Copper jewelry tarnishes naturally over time. LAZULI copper jewelry has intentionally not been treated/coated as many customers prefer the darkened, more rustic color to the metal. To preserve shine, clean regularly with a soft polishing cloth. For heavier tarnishing, dip copper jewelry in a small solution of lemon or lime juice with a dash of salt. Rinse and pat dry. STORAGE Store jewelry in LAZULI vinyl pouches to prevent tarnishing. Store jewelry away from heat sources and sunlight. Store jewelry separately so as to not scratch other jewelry items. Pearls are best stored in a velvet pouch. Never store pearls in plastic bags. WEAR AND CARE Avoid wearing jewelry in chlorinated water or around harsh chemicals as it can severely discolor and damage jewelry as well as loosen stones and settings. Put jewelry on after using cosmetics, hair spray or perfumes to avoid contact with substances and chemicals that may cause damage. To preserve gold vermeil do not wear in the water |
